SEMI PERMANENT MAKEUP

Semi permanent makeup FAQ's - Everything You Need To Know

What is it?

Semi Permanent Makeup is a form of cosmetic tattooing which uses an electronically powered machine and needle (similar to a conventional tattoo but the pigment is not implanted as deeply). It can also be done using a hand held microblade on brows.

Whether you are looking for something soft and natural or to create more of a statement look, Emma uses the best products and techniques available to create truly bespoke and utterly flawless results.

How long does it take?

Eyebrow appointments usually take around 90 minutes.

Lip tattooing will take around 2 hours.

Eyeliner tattooing can take between 60-120 minutes depending on the desired style.

This includes 20 minutes of consultation.

What happens during the treatment?

Emma will start with a full consultation where she makes sure your natural colouring, face shape and desired look are all carefully considered before creating a template for your new, enhanced SPMU.

She then uses an electronic hand piece, or hand held microblade, to trace over the template created, so the finished result is exactly as agreed between the two of you. Afterwards, she will show you your new look and apply aftercare products to soothe your skin and encourage healing.

Does the procedure hurt?

Numbing agents are used before the process begins and throughout, meaning discomfort is very minimal.

Clients usually rate the discomfort at about 2 out of 10, if they feel any at all.

How long do they last?

Quite unlike conventional tattoos, cosmetic tattooing is only semi permanent, meaning they it will not last forever. However, it can last around 36 months before fading completely.

Will I be able to go back to work straight afterwards?

Absolutely. Typically the area around your treatment may be slightly red, but that should be the only after-effect.

Does Semi Permanent Makeup ruin your natural brows?

Opting for technicians without the proper training and experience can mean that proper procedures may not be followed, which can seriously damage your natural eyebrows.

Emma has an extensive portfolio of treatments and has been through a high level of training with Finishing Touches Group - ABT Accredited. You’ll always receive state-of-the-art procedures, using the highest quality equipment, meaning the treatment will never cause any detrimental effects to the natural brow or treated area.

Do you provide aftercare?

Yes – you will receive a complete aftercare kit to take away with you to ensure you can get the best result for your permanent makeup. SPMU typically lasts up to 24 months when aftercare is correctly followed.
